Program Info

Middle Level education majors prepare to teach students in grades 5-8 through specialized education courses that emphasize the development of young adolescents and methods that engage middle level learners, as well as study in a specific content area. In the Middle Level education major, you will choose one of four concentration areas: English, Mathematics, Science, or Social Studies. You will then engage in an in-depth study of that content area, preparing you to work with a particular subject in a middle school setting.
