If you’re looking to become a certified South Carolina teacher, TeachFlorence1 offers an alternative pathway to the classroom. This three-year program provides training and coursework through a cohort model to provide ongoing support as you pursue your initial South Carolina teaching certificate.

Here’s what to expect: 

• You’ll start your first year in your own classroom as the teacher of record.
• You’ll earn a full salary while completing teacher training with a one-on-one coach who is also a teacher in your building.
• All support is embedded within Florence 1 Schools.
• You’ll take three courses (9 credits) over the course of the program through Clemson University.
• If you’re pursuing special education, you’ll take four courses (12 credits) over the course of the program, also through Clemson University.
• Courses are offered online.
