The traditional MAT Track covers a vareity fo subjects from professional core courses to courses specific to your content area. Through field-focused learning in school partnership settings, you will demonstrate evolving skills in the classroom.

Field experiences take place throughout the curriculum, culminating with a year-long internship in the final year of the program.

As a foundational component of your program you will take core courses to address the varied needs of learners, including those experiencing poverty, English language learners, exceptional students and gifted students.

Throughout the program, courses are integrated with field experience where you will experience varying classrooms, interacting with host and mentor teachers in the public schools alongside the instrucion and mentorship provided by Winthrop faculty.
